This weekend we launched a collection of really useful new features for Highrise. Here's a summary of what's new:
Email notifications on notes and comments
Now when you post a note to a contact, company, deal, or case, you have the option of also emailing that note to anyone else that's part of your Highrise account. Just click the "Show options" link under the box where you type a new note and you'll see an "Email this note" block.
Anyone you check off will receive this note via email with a link back to the note in Highrise. This makes it much easier to keep other people up to date on important communications, notes, ideas, conversations, interactions, etc. We'll be using it all the time on our own Highrise account.
Daily Digests via Email for Deals and Cases
Want to be kept up to date on any new notes or comments posted to a deal or case? We've always supposed RSS feeds for cases and deals, but now we also support a daily digest via email.
To subscribe to a daily digest, just go to a deal or case and click the "Turn on email updates to receive a daily digest of notes and comments posted to this deal" link in the sidebar. Every morning you'll receive a nicely formatted email detailing all the notes or comments posted to that deal or case over the last 24 hours. Now you'll know exactly what's going on without even having to log into Highrise.
Dropbox vCards
The Highrise Dropbox feature is one of the most popular features in Highrise. It lets you BCC or forward emails directly into Highrise. These emails will be automatically attached to the appropriate contact.
Each person has their own set of unique dropbox email addresses which can be found on the "My Info" screen. Each person gets six unique addresses - one general purpose dropbox and then 5 task-specific dropboxes. Now we've added a single vCard to make it easier to get these unique addresses into your computer's email program or address book.
Just scroll down on the "My Info" page and you'll see a section that lists all your dropbox addresses. Below the addresses you'll see a link that lets you "Download a vCard with all these addresses".
Click the link and a file will be downloaded to your computer. Most computers and email or address book programs now support the vCard format, so these addresses should be automatically added to your computer. We've also included a brief "how-to" in the notes field for each address book entry.
Power User Bonus Feature: Email shortcuts
Here's a bonus for the power users. You can now tell Highrise how you want to file an email when you sent it using the dropbox. You can file an email directly into a deal or case without having to use that deal or case's specific email dropbox address. You can also mark an email private.

To see everything you can do, click the "My Info" link (top right corner inside your Highrise account) and scroll down to the "Dropbox Tips" section. It looks like this:
Thanks!
We hope you find the new features and improvements useful. We're already putting them to good use here at 37signals (we use Highrise every day). We've got some more good stuff on the way soon. Thanks again for using Highrise.
