When we pushed the 37signals ID update this weekend, we consolidated email addresses into a single email. That means your 37signals ID was tied to a single email address.
This was fine for Backpack and Highrise users because each one of those apps also has a "notifications email" address inside the app. So even if your main account email was john@domain.com, you could specify a separate address for each one of these products to use. Basecamp, however, didn't have a separate email address. So every one of your Basecamp accounts sent email to the same email address - your 37signals ID email address.
Some people didn't like this because they liked keeping emails from their work Basecamp account and emails from their personal Basecamp accounts separate. Totally fair.
So yesterday we scrambled to add a separate Basecamp email address field to each account. And last night we pushed the update. Now you can have a different email address for each Basecamp account. Just log into a Basecamp account, click "My Info" and edit the email field. And BTW, we restored the previous email addresses from our backup, so everyone has the same email address in each Basecamp account as they did before the 37signals ID update.
Thanks for sending over your feedback. We hope you like the fix.
